Palm Oil

Palm oil is a type of vegetable oil that is derived from the fruit of the oil palm tree. It is a versatile oil that is used in a wide range of food products, including baked goods, snack foods, and cooking oils. Here are some key facts about palm oil:

Nutrition: Palm oil is a rich source of saturated and unsaturated fats, which can provide the body with energy and support various bodily functions. It also contains antioxidants and other beneficial compounds that can support overall health.

Smoke Point: Palm oil has a relatively high smoke point, which makes it suitable for high-heat cooking methods like frying and sautéing. Its smoke point is typically between 400°F-450°F (204°C-232°C).

Flavor: Palm oil has a mild flavor and aroma, which makes it a good choice for recipes that require a neutral taste.

Sustainability: Palm oil production has been criticized for its impact on the environment, including deforestation and habitat destruction for wildlife. However, sustainable palm oil production practices are being developed and implemented to minimize these negative impacts.

Packaging: Palm oil is available in various packaging options, including plastic bottles, tetra packs, metal cans, flextank or bulk

When selecting palm oil, it is important to choose a high-quality oil that is free from impurities and has not been adulterated.
